Still trucking away on Janie. Have some good stuff written, but it's out of sequence, so I'm officially reorganizing. I know I say that a lot, but I've actually been doing it this time. So hopefully I will soon have a restructured story to present to my lovely beta-gals.
Cleaning like mad to get ready for K's arrival. She's in the air! She's in the air! *bounces*
Went to Whole Foods today with Boomalicious. It's an exercise in futility for processed foods girl, here. I was mystified by half the fruits and veggies. There were cactus, uh, paddles, and strange beans I've never heard of, and aloe.
Can you eat aloe? I mean, one would think that they'd separate it in some manner if it wasn't edible. I know its used for burns and stuff, but I've never seen it in a grocery display before.
Anywho, I wandered and mocked the healthiness. There are carrots and cukes in my fridge, and veggie-burgers in my freezer.
Not for me. For K. I scorn such things. But she doesn't eat meat. That's okay though, because she just hates the taste of meat. No lectures about the morality of eating cow. Or me having to argue that I'll stop eating cow when they evolve enough to use an iPhone.
Oh, I was mocking some bottled water at the store, supposedly artesian water from Sweden or something. Not artisan. Artesian. Some lady comes up to ooh and ahh over the bottle, like she missed the mocking tone. And then declared that the only drawback of the overpriced tap water with a stupid meaningless artesian label was it wasn't PH balanced like the next brand.
I kinda fled from the weirdo after that.
And then I asked Boomalicious what the crap was the point of having PH balanced water. I mean sure, I get that deodorant should be strong enough for a man, but PH balanced for a woman, but other than that, what the hell is the point?
I complained to the Postal Service about how my utilities never seem to arrive. And the next day I had a massive pile of cable bill related mail crammed into my mailbox. What, are they holding it hostage? Seeing who notices they don't get bills?
Hmm, what else? Oh, I had a really cool Twitterview with @emlynchand. You can follow her Twitterviews with the #emlyn hashtag. Very fun. Still not used to having a reason to participate in such things. Got a lot of extra followers.
Drew has been bouncing around on Amazon this week. I mean, I know I am selling books by people mentioning Drew, but Amazon is about the only place you can track sales on some level. So I obsess about that number and freak every time I see a spike.
That's probably all I've got tonight. Sorry. Very dull and pointless. But I did a weekly update, so yay for accomplishments!
Oh yeah, go buy my book. I need to keep this roof over my head.
